I am a teen author of a new book series some help please ballinhassig trio?
I am a 14 year old boy who turns 15 this December. I live in Ireland and go to an all-boys secondary school. This year i have the Junior Certificate.
I am also an author of a book series titled "The Ballinhassig Trio" (type it into google and you shall find a trailer for it) however i am currently at a toubled stage of my writing.
i have whole series planned out and, if done properly, it should be very successul
however i am currently getting no where
i know everything that generally happens but i keep on writing the samebit over and over again as its too descriptive and nothing really happens in the chapter which means it lacks the page-turning element

how do i make readers turn the pg? its one of the opening chapters b4 anything really happens in concern to high-paced fighting and stuff?

how do i become as successful as jk rowling?

every1 wants me to finish bk soon but i seem to have lost ability to write and must wait till im older but how do i tell others that?

when shud i try to get it published? as soon as possible or when im an adult with more experience?

please answer

Okay, I googled it and came up with jack squat.
And you are a bit young. Wait until you are at least eighteen so people take you seriously.

well i didnt see it in google.
age doesn’t matter. if you have talent go for it.
i’m 17 and has been writing a novel since last year. i’m already looking for agents.
you need to get info on what to do and not to.
personally i feel you don’t know much about the writing world. it’s very unlikely you’ll become jk rowling, no offense but its true. no one is going to come to you and ask for your book, you need to get out there and find literary agents when your book is 100% done.

If your writing is anything like your post, then you need to hold off until your books have been thoroughly proof-read, beta-read, spell-checked, tweaked, and rewritten. So, yes. Hold off.

No book was ever rejecting for having *correct* grammar, spelling, and punctuation.

The best book trailer in the world won’t convince the acquisitions editor of a publishing house to buy your work if you don’t polish it up. They will be looking at your words, not a video.

Your books are to go on a job interview. They MUST look good! The book Strunk and White’s ELEMENTS OF STYLE is a must. All writers have that one and use it.

The reason why your writing is stalled is that you are still in your teens, and need to read more books to "fill up the creative well". Pro writers read 200-300 books for each one that they write! I suggest reading something outside the genre you’re writing in. It helps one avoid "literary incest."

If I knew how to make any of my books as successful as J.K. Rowling’s I would be writing to you from my private island in the Caribbean.

No one knows the answer to what turns a book into a best-seller, but generally "right well and you will sell" works best toward that goal. Rowling herself was rejected many times before she sold her first book.

I was rejected about 25 times before my first book found a publisher. Each time it came back I did a rewrite!

You can find writing help, beta readers, and help in locating prospective publishers when your work is ready to be shopped at this pro-run writer’s board.

http://absolutewrite.com/forums/ It’s FREE.

I have seen you post before about your block and leaving a link about your book video, and I gave you the same advice and a link to Absolute Write, then, too.

Your best course at this point is to go through your library like a threshing machine and read everything you can find there.

ALL good writers are GREAT readers!
